Handicraft products exports to US rise in first 10 months
Vietnam’s rattan, bamboo and sedge products export value to the United States reached 212.1 million USD in the first 10 months of 2016, a year-on-year rise of 1 percent.
Hanoi (VNA) ཧ– Vietnam’s rattan, bamboo and sedge products export value tothe United States reached 212.1 million USD in the first 10 months of 2016, ayear-on-year rise of 1 percent, according to data from the General Departmentof Vietnam Customs.
Rattan,bamboo and sedge products of Vietnam have been shipped to 19 countries andterritories, with the US the biggest importer with 51.2 million USD, accountingfor 27 percent of Vietnam’s exports of those items, followed by Japan andGermany. Overall,rattan, bamboo and sedge products exports to other countries increased in thefirst 10 months of the year. Exports of the products to China grew sharply, by 36.49percent, along with other markets including Taiwan, Spain and Denmark.-VNA
