Hanoi (VNA) - An exhibition on the traditionsand development of three major cities in Vietnam - Hanoi in the north, Hue inthe central 💧region, and HCM City in the south - opened at the capital’s Templeof Literature on October 5.
Organised by the Hanoi Department of Culture andSports, the exhibition aims to mark the 1,010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi,the 60th year of the Hanoi - Hue - Sai Gon (formerly HCM City) sister cityrelationship, and the 66th year of the capital’s liberation. More than 300 photos and documents are on show, introducingthe traditions, cultural heritage, socio-economic achievements, and tourist attractionsof the three destinations. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director ofthe Department Tran Thi Van Anh underlined that, over the years, people in thethree cities have nurtured a special sentiment for each other and remained united,contributing to the country’s reunification and construction. As the resurgence of COVID-19 in Vietnam has been basically brought under control, the tourism sector in the capital city of Hanoi has been swiftly making plans to attract visitors again and gradually return to previous levels of growth.

A friendship cycling journey for a green Hanoi city 2020 and relevant activities are underway from October 2-4 in streets around Hoan Kiem Lake, Hang Ngang, Hang Dao, and Dong Xuan market in the heart of the capital city as part of events to celebrate the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi (1010-2020).
Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.
