– Hanoi wants to continue getting help from J🌃apan in many fields, particularly urban transport, greening, and the environment.&nbs💫p;

Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung made the remark in his meeting with President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Kitaoka Shinichi in Hanoi on September 8.

Chung said the city has been calling for long-term investment in transportation infrastructure with priority to public transport like urban railway.

The city is working on the planting of 1 million trees and will break ground for a new wastewater treatment facility in October, he told the Japanese official.

Kitaoka Shinichi said that Hanoi has been developing dynamically over years and JICA’s cooperation with the city is effective.

JICA will continue working with Hanoi to seek solutions and ideas to solve trans𒐪port issues emerged dur𓆉ing the urban development, he said.-VNA
