Hanoi tightens land-use management work

Localauthorities are also required to accelerate the process of grantingland-use right certificates to eligible users as well as seriouslyimplement planning schemes on building the capital, using land, anddeveloping agriculture, among others.

The city has recorded positive progress in the field over the past time, according to the municipal People’s Committee.

Among nearly 19,300 plots of land being used by groups ororganisations, it has certified nearly 8,100 plots, accounting for 42percent of the total land plots.

In the past year alone, 1,200 land-use right certificates were granted to eligible organisations.

Hanoi plans to grant at least 2,000 certificates to organisations andmore than 45,570 others to households and individuals in 2014.

In addition, it will examine 144,000 ha for which prospective landusers were denied certificates because of insufficient documents.-VNA
