Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi is planning to carry out a large-scale COVID-19vaccination campaign.

The campaign targets all people aged between 18-65, withmore than 5.1 million doses to be used.

After the municipal People’s Committee approves the plan, itwill be published on the municipal Health Department’s website next week.

If the supply is ensured, Hanoi will try to deliver amaximum of 200,000 injections a day. The city is also establishing 824vaccination stations, and deploying 100 mobile emergency aid teams to respondin case any post-injection reactions occur.

Deputy head of Hanoi’s Centre for Disease Control Khong MinhTuan said that at present, all wards and communes have asked residents to registerfor inoculations. People can register for vaccination right at wards orcommunes where they live, or online via the COVID-19 vaccination portal.

The capital city has so far recorded 61 positive cases sinceJuly 4, including 23 cases related to arrivals from HCM City, the country’s currentlargest COVID-19 hotspot./.
