Hanoi’s retail sales, services revenue up 9.4% in October

Hanoi’s total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue reached 77.5 trillion VND ( over 3 billion USD) in October, up 2.7% month-on-month and 9.4% year-on-year, according to the municipal People’s Committee.

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi’s total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue reached 77.5 trillion VND ( over 3 billion USD) in October, up 2.7% month-on-month and 9.4% year-on-year, according to the municipal People’s Committee.

Specifically, the retail sales of goods reached 48.5 trillion VND, hotel and restaurant revenue 11.2 trillion VND, tourism revenue 2.6 trillion VND, and other service revenue 15.2 trillion VND, up 9.6%, 10.4%, 32.1% and 4.9% year-on-year respectively.
In the first ten months of 2024, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the capital city hit 699.2 trillion VND, 10.7% higher than that of the same period last year.Of which, the retail sales of goods rose by over 10.7% year-on-year to 441.4 trillion VND, food and foodstuffs 13.7%, wood and construction materials 12.8%; garments 10%; automobile sales 8.3%; household appliances, tools and equipment 7.7%; and other goods 11.7%.

Meanwhile, hotel and restaurant revenue amounted to 95.4 trillion VND, up 11.1%.

The city also posted tourism revenue of 23.4 trillion VND during January-October, an increase of 40.1% over the same period last year. Other service revenue reached 139 trillion VND, up 6.5%./.
