Leaders of the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang on January 30-31 visited and presented gifts to local religious communities ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

Hau Giang (VNA) – Leaders of the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang on January 30-31 visited and presented gifts to loc♔al religious communities ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

Visiting the religious communities, the leaders updated them on the provincial socio-economic achievements in 2015, saying that religious followers had made great contributions to ensuring political stability and national security.
The authorities hoped that local dignitaries will guide their followers to engage in religious activities in accordance with the law while joining charitable work to reduce poverty in the province. For their part, the dignitaries expressed their belief in the Party and State’s policies on creating favourable conditions for religious activities. They said that a line-up of Tet gifts had been prepared, helping to bring a warm Tet for impoverished people in the province.-VNA
