HCM City (VNA) – Customs officials atTan Son Nhat international airport in Ho Chi Minh City seized nearly 12kg ofmarijuana smuggled from the US to Vietnam in May and June.
The traffickers used new and sophisticated methodsby hiding marijuana in dried fruits bags and boxes of clothes, canned food andconfectionery.
Since 2014, customs officials in the airporthave uncovered 26 cases of drug trafficking, with a combined total of more than100 kg of cocaine, heroin and methphetamine and more than a tonne of Khatleaves.-VNA
Drug traffickers in central Da Nang city have gradually shifted their focus from opium and marijuana to methamphetamine and heroin over the past two years.

It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
