HCM City(VNA) – Gia An 115 Hospital – the first health care facility constructed in theform of public-private partnership (PPP) in Ho Chi Minh City – was inauguratedon December 22.
The hospital, a jointeffort of Hoa Lam Corporation and People’s 115 Hospital, has a 10-storey building with367 patient beds and 60 check-up rooms along with medical equipment meetinginternational standards.
Licensed to operate asfrom August 31, 2018, Gia An 115 is a general hospital with specialized departments such as cardiology,neurology and stroke, endocrinology, physical therapy and rehabilitationservices.
The hospital has theprofessional support from People’s 115 Hospital with the consultations of leadingexperts and doctors in many fields.
Gia An 115 Hospital is the second facility in the InternationalHi-tech Healthcare Park of Hoa Lam Shangri-La, a healthcare complex founded in2008 with more than 1,700 inpatient beds. The complex is expected to host sixgeneral and specialized hospitals, as well as auxiliary facilities.
Addressing theinauguration ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tan Binh, Director of the Ho Chi MinhCity Department of Health said that the policy of developing PPP health carehas been implemented by the city for years, but the scale of past projectsremains small.
This is the first timea PPP hospital has been built in the city, marking a fruitful cooperationbetween a public hospital and a private business, he noted.
Along with helping easeoverload in central-level hospitals in the city, the hospital will providequality health care services at reasonable cost to local patients, he stated.
The official affirmedthat in the future, the city’s health sector will continue implementing moresimilar project to better meet the medical demand of locals.-VNA
