HCM City (VNA) – Ho ChiMinh City’s annual Street Book Festival will be held from January 25 to 31, thecity Pe🌺ople’s Committee has announc♌ed.
HCM City – A Desire toThrive will be the theme of the2017 festival, authorities said. For the first time thebooks will be displayed by category, with the three main ones being Proudof HCM City, HCM City, a Hospitable and Modern Place to Live,and Desire to Thrive. Each will have severalsub-sections. For instance, thesub-sections of Proud of HCM City will be HCM City –40 Years of Development and President Ho Chi Minh, a Role Model. Under thesesub-sections, many books showcasing the city’s 40 years of achievements invarious fields like literature, economics, and culture, together with documentsfrom the 10th city Party Congress last year, will be displayed. Books written by PresidentHo Chi Minh and those about his contributions will also feature. Stories about and theexperiences of successful entrepreneurs will feature in a sub-sectioncalled Entrepreneurs and Their Start-up Stories. There will be children’sbooks and books about Vietnamese customs. The fair will be held inDistrict 1’s Mac Thi Buoi, Nguyen Hue, Ngo Duc Ke streets. Together with Nguyen VanBinh Book Street, and the annual HCM City Book Fair, the Street Book Festivalhas been attracting city residents for the last six years.-VNA
Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.

For the first time, Vietnamese audiences will have the opportunity to experience the ballet masterpiece "Don Quixote" in its original version by renowned choreographer Marius Petipa.

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
