Under the pactsigned in Ho Chi Minh City on September 5, the two sides will supportbusinesses’ development and research activities, update socio-economicinformation, and aid Vietnamese firms to join fairs and exhibitions inJapan.
The two sides agreed to accelerate a cooperationagreement between the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and Shigaauthorities.
Le Hoai Quoc, head of the SHTP, said the park haszoned off an area of nearly 20 hectares for Japanesesmall-and-medium-sized enterprises in supporting industry as an effortto attract investment flow from Japan.
Shiga prefecture, formingpart of the Kansai region in Japan, has developed into an area with theconcentration of production businesses.
Located 15 kilometresfrom downtown Ho Chi Minh City, the SHTP is a park for hi-technologyenterprises. Several world leading high-tech companies such as Us Inteland French Air Liquide have invested in the park.-VNA
