HCM City: SOEs told to publicly disclose business information

The HCM City People’s Committee has ordered all State-owned enterprises (SOEs) with 100 percent charter capital owned by the State to fully publish information about their activities.

HCM City (VNA) - The HCM City People’s Committeehas ordered all State-owned enterprises (SOEs) with 100 percent charter capitalowned by the State to fully publish information about their activities.

Therequest applies to all controlling, parent-subsidiary and sole-member limitedliability companies in the city.

Themove by the city was part of Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue’srequest to ministries, departments and local authorities to instruct businessesto strictly follow Government Decree 81 dated September 2015 on informationdisclosure for State enterprises.

Decree81 stated that companies must disclose information on: their developmentstrategies; five-year production and business plans; annual production andbusiness plans; annual production and business reports and reports on theprevious three years; implementation of CSR, or corporate socialresponsibility, if appropriate; annual renewal and restructuring; andadministration and organisation, as well as financial reports and reports onsalary and bonuses.

Theinformation will be disclosed on websites of enterprises and agenciesrepresenting the state owner and on the enterprise information portal of theMinistry of Planning and Investment (MPI).

Accordingto a recent report by MPI, only 241 out of 620 SOEs have sent their reports tothe ministry to publicise their information on MPI’s business informationportal, accounting for 38.8 percent of the total. –VNA
