HCM City steps up construction of Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line

As of May 25, some 72.90 percent of the workload had been completed. In late April, the architecture on Floor B1 was basicallycompleted. The 2.05-billion USD line,which runs 19.7 km between District 1 and District 9, is the first of at least sixmetro lines to be built in the city. Expected to open in thefirst quarter of 2021, the metro line stations will be linked to buses operatingin the vicinity of the line to help people reach the station more easily. Two underground packages CP1a and CP1b of the metro line No. 1 project between Ben Thanh Market and Suoi Tien Tourist Park in Ho Chi Minh was connected with each other on February 17.
Work on Ho Chi Minh City’s Metro Line No.2, connecting Ben Thanh Market and Tham Luong, will start in 2021, according to the city’s Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR).
