HCM City supports Siam Cement in making green building materials

Authorities of Ho Chi Minh City support the Siam City Cement Vietnam in producing environmentally friendly construction materials, a municipal official told executives of the Thai-invested firm on July 3.
HCM City (VNA) – Authorities of Ho Chi Minh Citysupport the Siam City Cement Vietnam in producing environmentally friendlyconstruction materials, a municipal official told executives of theThai-invested firm on July 3.

Meeting with CEO Philippe Richart and BeatWafler, member of the board of directors of the company, Vice Chairman of themunicipal People’s Committee Le Van Khoa applauded the business’s attention to environmentalprotection in Vietnam. 

Valuing the firm’s successes in Vietnam, hestressed his city has high demand for construction materials to serve its urbandevelopment. He affirmed that HCM City always creates the best possibleconditions for foreign enterprises, including Siam Cement group, to makelong-term investment.

Philippe Richart said the Siam Cement groupwants to continue promoting the sound cooperation with HCM City. Siam CityCement Vietnam pledges to protect the environment, carry out socialresponsibility, and ensure product quality during its operation in the country.

Briefing his firm’s activities, he noted SiamCity Cement Vietnam will step up expanding its factory and distributionsystems, manufacturing products that suit the Vietnamese market, and treatingindustrial waste.

Siam City Cement Vietnam specialises inconstruction material production and waste management in the southern region.It has about 1,700 workers directly and 20,000 others indirectly working at fivecement factories and concrete mixing stations in HCM City.-VNA
