HCM City (VNA) – HCM Citywants to work with Kirloskar Brothers Limited from India in fields of mutualconcern, especially in urban flood control and solutions to saltwaterintrusion, said Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Tran VinhTuyen. The official made the statement onNovember 7 while receiving Shipra Tripathi, Vice President of the Indian firm. At the meeting, Tuyen lauded thedevelopment of Vietnam – India relations as well as the cooperation of HCM Cityand Indian businesses, including Kirloskar Brothers Limited. He vowed to createbest conditions for the firm to set up projects in the city. For her part, Tripathi expressed herhope to expand ties with HCM City in the firm’s strong suits like flood managementin urban areas, agricultural irrigation and solutions to fire control. The two sides agreed to studyfeasible projects in the future.-VNA
