HCM City (VNS/VNA) - HDBank, Sacombank, ABBANK, and VNG have wonthe ‘Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021’ award from HR Asia, anauthoritative regional publisher in the human resources industry.

The awards were given country-wise and in Vietnam they were was based on theresponses by some 30,000 employees from 581 companies in many industries to theTotal Engagement Assessment Model survey to measure their satisfaction with theworkplace environment.

The survey was based on three criteria: collective organisation for realengagement (Core), emotional engagement, intention, motivation, advocacy, andbehaviour (Self), and collective consciousness, workplace sentiment and teamdynamics (Group).

HDBank was the only company in the banking sector to make the list for a fourthyear in a row.

According to HR Asia, HDBank has an outstanding human resource policy andattractive remuneration packages, and regularly organises “exciting” internalactivities to increase employee engagement.

HDBank’s employees are motivated for self-improvement, willing to do more thantheir responsibilities to support other departments and always supportcolleagues when needed, the survey found, indicating close binding and trustbetween employees and the leadership and a strong culture of teamwork.

HR Asia hailed Sacombank for its transparent and professional human resourcepolicies in terms of promotion, salary and bonus, welfare, and training,investment in modern technology for HR management and corporate culture thatspreads positive energy and employee engagement.

Starting with 100 employees when it was established in 1991, it now has over18,500 people.

Le Duc Thinh, deputy CEO of the lender, said: “Employees are our most valuableasset, and Sacombank focuses on creating a friendly and professional workingenvironment. All employees are given the opportunity to develop a sustainablecareer, and maximise their value and capacity.”

Tech giant VNG Corporation has been named for a third year as its efforts forhuman resource development over the last 17 years pay off.

It earned high scores in the survey’s three criteria --Core, Self, Group --which determine the satisfaction of the individual in an organisation.

The awards committee said, “The corporation creates a different corporateculture and environment for encouraging its employees to develop.”

ABBANK won the award for a second year in a row.

All scores this year are higher than in 2020, and it got a near-perfect scoreof 4.85/5 in the Core and Self groups.

Le Hai, the lender’s CEO, said creating a working environment for employees todevelop was always the top priority.

“ABBANK has been and will continue to make efforts to create a workingenvironment with a culture rich in ‘An Binh’ [that features] friendliness,empathy, engagement, creativeness and effectiveness" in which where eachemployee has the opportunity to improve their professional skills, he added./.
