Health Ministry licenses China’s Vero Cell vaccine against COVID-19

The Health Ministry issued Decision 2763/QD-BYT on June 3 approving the use of the Chinese-made vaccine against COVID-19 Vero Cell to meet urgent needs in the fight against the pandemic.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Health Ministry issued Decision2763/QD-BYT on June 3 approving the use of the Chinese-made vaccine against COVID-19Vero Cell to meet urgent needs in the fight against the pandemic.

𓃲 The approvalis made with nine conditions attached.

The National Institute of Hygiene and  Epidemiology  (NIHE) is tasked with deploying amonitoring system for the use of the vaccine in accordance with the law. The useof the vaccine must adhere to guidance of the Health Ministry. The NIHE is also directed to coordinate with relevant agencies toassess the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine. The decision took effect on the date of signing./.
