HNX nets 9.8 trillion VND in auctions

The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) said it has organised 19 auctions so far this year, including three for capital withdrawal, five for initial public offerings (IPO) and one for purchase rights.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX)said it has organised 19 auctions so far this year, including three for capitalwithdrawal, five for initial public offerings (IPO) and one for purchaserights.

A total of more than 1 billion shares were auctioned, ofwhich over 627 million shares were traded, equivalent to 63 percent. Some 9.8trillion VND (431.2 million USD) worth of shares were collected after the 19auctions.

The auctions for capital withdrawal remained attractiveto investors. In May, there were an auction for capital divestment of ApatitVietnam One Member Ltd. Co., at Vietnam Apatit Phosphorus JSC, and anotherauction for purchase rights of Airports Corporation of Vietnam.

Up to 14.99 million shares were ordered during thecapital divestment auction as compared with only 10.5 million shares auctioned,which were sold out at the end of the auction.

Meanwhile, only 0.07 percent or 262,000 rights to buyshares  of Airports Corporation ofVietnam were sold in the purchase right auction.

The HNX said there will be only one auction in June withmore than 20.5 million of shares of Bac Dang Construction Corporation put onsale on June 18. -VNA
