Indonesian Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan P. Roeslani, who accompanied the President to a meeting with representatives of the US-Indonesia Society (USINDO) in Washington, D.C., on November 11 (local time), said the leader urged them not just to invest capital in Indonesia, but to apply ESG principles, ensuring their investments benefit the community.

The President said this is a very important matter, Indonesian news agency Antara reported.

Roeslani said that at the meeting, President Prabowo emphasised his zero tolerance for corruption and stated that if anyone is involved in corruption or creating problems, they can contact him directly.

At the same time, Indonesia pledged to cut red tape, creating favourable conditions for foreign investors to enter the market.

Indonesian Government data shows that in the first nine months of 2024, US investors injected 2.8 billion USD into Indonesia, making the US the fourth largest source of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country during this period, behind China with nearly 5.8 bil😼lion USD./.
