Indonesia police arrests six alleged terrorists

Indonesian police on March 10 said that the anti-terror squad Densus 88 arrested six alleged terrorists who were plotting attacks against police stations and banks in Tolitoli region of Central Sulawesi province.

Hanoi (VNA) – Indonesian ✅police on March 10said that the anti-terror squad Densus 88 arreste🀅d six alleged terrorists whowere plotting attacks against police stations and banks in Tolitoli region ofCentral Sulawesi province.

Spokesperson of the provincial police headquartersHari Suprapto said the alleged terrorists were detained in Tolitoli police'sdetention cells and interrogation was underway. Explosive materials to createbombs were also confiscated in the arrest. Central Sulawesi recently witnessed a string ofterrorism-related violence targeting police, carried out by members of radicalgroups which are still active around the province's city of Poso. Indonesian police killed Santoso, leader of radical EasternIndonesia Mujahidin after months of joint operation around the group’s hideoutin a Poso's mountainous area in July 2016. The group was identified of being involved inactivities to send Indonesian militants to Syria and Iraq to join theself-claimed Islamic State (IS).-VNA
