Jakarta (VNA) – Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly Zulkifli Hasan has pledged to do his best to foster ties between Vietnam and 🧜Indonesia as well as their legislatures.

During a working session with Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Hoang Anh Tuan on March 31, Hasan said he was impressed by Vietnam’s achievements over the past 30 years of renovation as well as its contributions to peace, development and prosperity in the region.
He conveyed his invitation to new Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan to visit Indonesia at her nearest convenience, and hoped that Ngan will push forward ties between the Vietnamese and Indonesian legislatures. Ambassador Tuan, for his part, also asked for a further boosting of cooperation between the two legislatures, for a prosperous ASEAN Community.
He expressed the Vietnamese State and people’s determination to tighten traditional relations with Indonesia, adding that his key task during the tenure is to further expand Vietnam - Indonesia political, economic, cultural and educational ties. On the occasion, he also shared Vietnam’s experience in joining the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal and conveyed Ngan’s invitation to the host to visit Vietnam.-VNA
