Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) - The ninth Hue Festival 2016 will be held from April 29 to May 4, ho൩nouring cultural and historical values𒈔 of the former capital city.
Themed “710 years of Thuan Hoa, Phu Xuân, Thua Thien – Hue; Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development”, the festival will celebrate the founding of Thuan Hoa, Phu Xuan, Thua Thien – Hue.
Artistic performances of Vietnamese and foreign artists from several countries, including the US, Mexico, Denmark, the UK and Russia, will be organised in the Hue Citadel, An Dinh Palace and other places.
The festival, which is held every two years, and was organised for the first time in 2000, also includes exhibitions and fairs, traditional games and other art activities.
The central province of Thua Thien – Hue received 470,468 tourists in the first two months of the year, including 175,740 foreigners, up 6.24 percent against the same period last year.-VNA
