Int’l exhibitions on telecom, electronic products and film begin in HCM City

The international trade show on information technology, telecommunication and electronic products (ICT COMM) and the International Exhibition of Film and Television Technology (Telefilm Vietnam) opened on June 9 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre.

HCMCity (VNS/VNA) - The international trade show on informationtechnology, telecommunication and electronic products (ICT COMM) and theInternational Exhibition of Film and Television Technology (Telefilm Vietnam)opened on June 9 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Theyfeature nearly 200 booths by more than 150 local and foreign exhibitors,including those from the US, Germany, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea,India, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Hong Kong (China),and Taiwan (China).

Returning aftera two-year gap due to COVID-19, the shows, despite having a smaller scalecompared to before the pandemic, showcase the latest products and technologiesin the telecommunication, IT, media sectors, as well as products, services andtechnologies used in film and television, TV content and programmes,and broadcasting equipment and technology.

Severalcompanies who have participated in all five previous editions such as KonicaMinolta Business Solutions, Du Hung Technology JCS, C-FIBER, and South TelecommunicationsSoftware JSC, are displaying software, mobile applications, technologysolutions, hard drive devices, wireless technologies, internet services,electronic products and services, radio and television services,and network infrastructure.

TaiwanExcellence organised by Taitra showcases software and hardware productsand services and innovative and energy-saving products and solutions, while theHong Kong pavilion hosted by the Hong Kong Software Industry Associationshows off the latest AI, POS, finance/banking and e-commercesolutions, cloud computing and cyber-security services, online educationplatforms, and augmented and virtual reality technologies.

At Telefilm Vietnam, leadingfilm and television producers as well as distributors from Vietnam and aroundthe world are taking part. Over the years, the exhibition has been aplace for trading film and television content and technologies, innovativeapplication equipment and related services.

Visitorswill have a chance to experience innovative television application systems onthe internet inherited from the strong development of information technologyand future TV channels, and modern post-production specialeffects, they added.

B2Bmatch-making, conferences and seminars will be held online and offline.

Speakingat the opening ceremony, Nguyen Minh Hong, former Deputy Minister ofInformation and Communications and Chairman of the Vietnam DigitalCommunication Association, said: “Through displays and direct businessmatching activities, the organising committee wants to create a convenient andeffective interaction environment for exhibitors and visitors, contributing topromoting investment and trade co-operation.”

Thisyear, the exhibition will also be held online for 15 days tooffer local and foreign firms in the telecommunications, informationtechnology, and TV and broadcasting sectors greater opportunities toexchange information, learn, share experiences, transfer technologies, andcontribute to improving their competitiveness, he said. 

Organisedby Adpex JSC, the Vietnam Association for Information Processing, VietnamInternet Association, Vietnam Digital Communication Association, and otherorganisations, the exhibitions will run until June 11./.
