Israeli President visits Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh

Israeli President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin and his spouse on March 22 visited the northern province of Quang Ninh and the UNESCO-recognised world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay as part of their ongoing visit to Vietnam from March 19-25.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – Israeli President Reuven Ruvi Rivlinand his spouse on March 22 visited the northern province of Quang Ninh and theUNESCO-recognised world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay as part of theirongoing visit to Vietnam from March 19-25.

Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh People’s Committee Vu ThiThu Thuy welcomed the guests, introducing the local socio-economic developmentas well as the natural beauty of the province and the bay.

President Rivlin said that he is delighted to visit Ha LongBay, a famous heritage site. He also thanked provincial leaders for their warmwelcome.

The couple is scheduled to leave for Ho Chi Minh City laterthe same day.

Earlier, during his stay in Hanoi, the Israel President hadtalks with President Tran Dai Quang, met Party General Secretary Nguyen PhuTrong and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, while attending a Vietnam-Israeldefence industry forum and a business forum.-VNA
