January’s State budget revenue estimated at 7.78 billion USD

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s total State budget collection in January isestimated at 183.7 trillion VND (7.78 billion USD), equal to 11.3% of the yearlyestimate and down 0.5% year-on-year, announced the Ministry of Finance onFebruary 7.
Specifically, the domestic revenue is estimated at 160.4trillion VND, up 3.1% y-o-y, and that from crude oil at 5.3 trillion VND, up67.7% y-o-y.
Meanwhile, import-export activities contributed about 28trillion VND to the State budget, equivalent to only 65% of that in the sameperiod last year.
On the other hand, total State budget expenditure in themonth was estimated at 114.9 trillion VND, equaling 5.5% of the yearly estimate.
For the development investment expenditure alone, the totalplanned investment capital from the State budget for 2023 is 756.1 trillion VND./.
State budget revenue reached over 1.69 quadrillion VND (71.4 billion USD) as of December 15, exceeding the estimate by 19.8%, the Ministry of Finance announced at a conference in Hanoi on December 19.
State budget revenue in 2023 is projected at 1.62 quadrillion VND (68.5 billion USD), up 0.4% from 2022, according to a report on state budget, which was exclusively made for the public.
Total State budget collection was estimated at over 1,803 trillion VND (76.6 billion USD) in 2022, equivalent to 127.8% of the estimate, up 15% year on year, reported the Ministry of Finance (MoF) on January 3.
State budget collection from export-import activities in January topped 24.8 trillion VND (1.07 billion USD), or 5.8% of the estimate, down 42.3% annually, reported the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC).
