Japanese firms explore investment climate in Ha Nam province

Ha Nam (VNA) –
A business delegationfrom the Japanese prefecture of Hyogo worked with authorities of the northernprovince of Ha Nam on November 5 to study the local investment environment.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Truong Quoc Huy introduced the province’s potential and advantages aswell as investment attraction policies and mechanisms.

He said Ha Nam has synchronous infrastructureand convenient transportation connectivity with other provinces and cities aswell as abundant human resources and inexpensive labour costs and land rents.

Particularly, the province has dedicated DongVan III supporting industrial park with favourable location and goodinfrastructure to attract businesses from Japan, Huy said.

He said Ha Nam focuses on high-tech andenvironmentally-friendly industries, processing, manufacturing and supportingindustries, in addition to developing high-quality healthcare and educationservices.

When investing in the province, businesses willbe ensured in terms of electricity, water, employment and security, Huy added.

The official went on to say that Ha Namconsiders Japan a main partner in investment attraction. 

Currently, Japan ranks second in foreigninvestment in the province with nearly 100 projects in various fields such asmechanical engineering, automobile industry, motorcycles, and electronicequipment, he noted.

The Vice Chairman also highly evaluated theinvestment and cooperation capacity of Japanese enterprises and hoped morefirms from the country will invest in Ha Nam.

On behalf of the Hyogo businesses, ShiroMuramoto, chairman of Muramoto Industry group, hailed the investmentenvironment in Ha Nam and said many Japanese companies are operatingeffectively in the province.

He added that a number of businesses from Hyogoprefecture are keen to invest in Ha Nam and hoped the province will createoptimal conditions for them to study investment opportunities.

After the working session, the Japanese businessdelegation visited a number of Japanese firms operating at the province’sindustrial parks./.
