The Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) on June 12 said it has cooperated with the Cuc Phuong and Cat Tien national parks, and the Hanoi Wildlife Rescue centre to release 21 rescued rare animals back to the wild.

Police in the central province of Quang Tri’s Huong Hoa district on October 7 arrested a man illegally transporting five Java pangolins, which are in the list of endangered rare species and banned from trading.

The Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) and Cuc Phuong National Park released into the wild 93 Java pangolins (Manis javanica), the largest number so far, between April 28 and May 6.

Sixty-one wild Java pangolins (Manis javanica) have been handed over to Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) by Thai Binh province’s Police Department.

Twenty Java pangolins, also known as the Malayan or Sunda pangolin, were released into the wild on August 10 after getting one-month care under the Carnivore and Pangolin Conservation Programme.
