A document to this effect was signed at Ho Chi Minh City National University on August 14.

The project will focus on issues relating to treatment of water andorganic waste. Accordingly, organic waste, which is sediment in pondsand can pollute the living environment of fish and other aquaticanimals, will be pumped into a tank to produce biogas.

Biogas then will be used to generate electricity to provide for the water treatment system in farming ponds.

The project will be implemented in the Mekong Delta from April 2015 to March 2020.-VNA
