– PresidentUhuru Kenyatta of Kenya wants to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam for thebenefit of the two nations’ people. He expressed his hope at areception in Nairobi on September 26 for Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania andKenya Nguyen Kim Doanh who came to present credentials. For his part, Doanh expressedhis willingness to contribute to boosting the multi-faceted relations betweenVietnam and Kenya during his term. During his working session with theHeads of the Asia – Australia Department and the Protocol Department of the ForeignMinistry, Doanh underlined the stable development of the two nations’ relationsover the past 22 years. The Nairobi – Hanoi directflight route launched by Kenya Airways in April, 2015 has contributed tostrengthening tourism and trade cooperation between the two nations, he added. The Head of the Asia – AustraliaDepartment highlighted the fruitful cooperation between the two nations, sayingthat it laid down a favorable foundation for further boosting the bilateralties, particularly in trade, sea freighting, and aviation. He suggested the two nationsstrengthen delegation exchanges at all levels in the coming time, thus promotingthe diplomatic ties and creating a momentum for development and deeperrelations. Doanh also took the occasion tocall on Kenya to support Vietnam’s a candidate for the post of General-Directorof the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO).-VNA
