The second phase of the public healthcare project is being carried out between 2014 and 2019 at a total cost of 76.6 million USD, including a 70-million-USD loan from the Asia Development Bank (ADB).
Kon Tum province was allocated over 9.33 million USD, including more than 8.46 million USD sourced from the ADB.
Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lai Xuan Lam requested the local Department of Health work closely with relevant agencies to actively carry out the plan in compliance with State regulations on management and use of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) sources, environmental protection and social security.
The project aims to develop healthcare networks in the province, increase access for local residents—especially impoverished households and ethnic minority groups—to healthcare services and develop local medical human resources.
It also encompasses upgrading healthcare facilities and developing medical records and information management systems for healthcare establishments at all levels.
