Korean bioproducts penetrate into Vietnamese market

More than 120 bioproducts in cosmetics, functional food, medical equipment and environment made in the Republic of Korea (RoK) are being introduced to Vietnamese consumers at an exhibition that opened in Ho Chi Minh City on September 13.

HCM City (VNA) – More than 120 bioproducts in cosmetics,functional food, medical equipment and environment made in the Republic ofKorea (RoK) are being introduced to Vietnamese consumers at an exhibition thatopened in Ho Chi Minh City on September 13.

Theevent was co-organised by the Chuncheon Bioindustry Foundation (CBF) and LienHoa Group, a partner of the CBF in Vietnam.

CBF President Ju-Su Jeon said that the exhibits were produced with the RoK’slatest technology and based on research conducted by CBF experts. The products havebeen available in more than 100 countries worldwide so far and are trusted byconsumers due to their quality, he said.

Meanwhile, Mayor of Chuncheon Choi Dong-yong stressed that the city is home to60 bio-technology companies which have a wide range of functional food granted certificatesfrom the Korea Food & Drug Administration (KFDA).

With a fast-growing economy along with a large population, Vietnam is a fertileland for Korean bioproducts in the next few years, he added.

Meanwhile, Truong Thi Nhi, General Director of the Lien Hoa Group, said that Koreanbioproducts will allow domestic consumers to access quality and safe products.

The exhibition also creates a chance for Vietnamese and Korean businesses toseek partners to join supply-distribution chains while promoting cooperationand technology transfer between the two countries.
