Labour minister vows favourable conditions for RoK investors

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam will create favourable conditions for enterprises fromthe Republic of Korea (RoK) to invest in Vietnam, Minister of Labour, WarInvalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung told Kyung Shik Sohn, Chairman of theKorea Employers Federation, in Hanoi on March 23

Hundredsof RoK companies and groups are operating in Vietnam, Dung said, noting that hesupports the RoK groups in employing Vietnamese workers, who are hard-working.

Dungsaid RoK President Moon Jae-in’s State visit to Vietnam from March 22-24 hashelped promote economic cooperation between the two nations, and numerousmemoranda of understanding were signed to strengthen the strategic partnershipbetween the two countries in the future.

Accordingto the minister, Vietnam is improving its legal system and revising severallaws, including the law on foreign employees working in Vietnam. The VietnameseGovernment and the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA)will focus on increasing negotiations between employers and workers to minimiseState involvement in business operations.

TheMoLISA will coordinate with the RoK Ministry of Employment and Labour to signagreements on social insurance and social protection towards providing bettercare for workers, Dung added.

Forhis part, Kyung affirmed that RoK enterprises want to operate in a transparentmanner, in accordance with the regulations of Vietnam and in the spirit ofensuring mutual benefits.
