Nghe An (VNA) - General Secretary ofthe Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos BounnhangVorachith thanked the support of Vietnam’s central Nghe An province to Laolocalities during his visit to the province on December 20.   

At a meeting with leaders of Nghe An province, Bounnhang Vorachith committed tocontinuing to promote the solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation betweenVietnam and Laos.

Nguyen Dac Vinh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, congratulated theParty, State and people of Laos over the achievements the country has recordedover the past time.

Nghe An province pays special heed to developing the friendship, solidarity andcomprehensive cooperation with its Lao counterparts, he said.

The official noted that Nghe An and Lao localities organise delegationexchanges annually to share experience and enhance cooperation.

Also on December 20 night, the provincial leaders hosted a banquet for the LaoParty chief and President and his entourage.

The Lao leader’s three-day visit, starting from December 19, is made at theinvitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen PhuTrong and President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang.-VNA
