Licenses granted to 28 FDI projects in Binh Duong

Authorities in southern Binh Duong province hosted a ceremony on April 10 to grant licenses to 28 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects worth 304 million USD, including 20 new and 8 added capital projects.
Authorities in southern Binh Duong province hosted a ceremony onApril 10 to grant licenses to 28 foreign direct investment (FDI)projects worth 304 million USD, including 20 new and 8 added capitalprojects.

These projects contributed to bringing the number offoreign-invested projects in the locality in the last quarter to 85,valued at 402 million USD.

A number of high-value projects are inthe motorbike and bicycle industries, sports equipment, electronicspare parts and beverages.

Speaking at theceremony, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Namhighlighted the important role played by businesses in promoting thelocality’s socio-economic development.

He stated that localauthorities will design measures to improve the investment climate andreform administrative procedures, thus facilitating investment projectoperations and drawing more foreign investors.

They will alsopay attention to investing in the construction of infrastructure systemsto meet investor demand while intensifying investment promotionactivities, targeting projects using advanced technology andmanufacturing high added-value products.

So far, as many as2,440 FDI projects with a combined capital of 20.8 billion USD haveoperated in Binh Duong. The province aims to attract one billion USD inFDI in 2015.-VNA
