Long An (VNA) – Long An authority had adialogue on April 6 with representatives of business of the Republic of Korea toremove obstacles in their production and business in the southern province.

At the event, the RoK firms such as RIOVINA, Songwol Vina, Yupoong Long An,Shilla Bags International voiced their difficulties relating to electricity,water, production, recruitment and the use of employees, environmental issuesand customs procedure.

Long An has made improvements in investmentlicensing, administrative procedures in construction, natural resources andenvironment, they said, suggesting the province keep local firms promptly updatedon changes to facilitate their implementation.

Local authorities answered questions of the RoKfirms and pledged to continue addressing the obstacles facing them.

Long An province is currently home to over 900FDI projects from 37 countries and territories, with combined registered capitalof nearly 5,717 million USD.

Of them, 160 are from the RoK, worth nearly 600 million USD. The RoK projectsare mainly in infrastructure, real estate, manufacturing, apparel, animal foodin the key industrial districts of Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Can Giuoc, and Tan Ancity.

On the occasion, the Long An authority introducedand called for investments in several key economic projects on computing andelectronic assembling and spare parts, marine transport, seaport andlogistics.-VNA
