The information was announced at a press conference held in Kuala Lumpur on October 28, which also released the arrangement of related meetings.
Accordingly, the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting (ASEAN SOM) will convene on November 18 and relevant meetings will be organised from November 19-20.
Apart from the summ🐼it, leaders of ASEAN member nations will also hold summits witไh China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, the US and the United Nations.
Malaysia began its Chair of ASEAN on January 1, 2015. The country has hosted many important events of the group, including the 26 th ASEAN Summit in April, the 48th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting ( AMM 48) and relevant meetings from August 1-6, and the 47th Meeting of the ASEAN Economic Ministers ( AEM 47 ) and relevant meetings from August 20-25.
At the 26 th ASEAN Summit, leaders of ASEAN member countries approved three declarations: the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on a People - Oriented , People-Centred ASEAN, the Langkawi Declaration on the Global Movement of Moderates , and the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on Institutionalising the Resilience of ASEAN and its Communities and Peoples to Disasters and Climate Change.
