HCM City (VNS/VNA) - Manulife Vietnam settled claims worth nearly 7 trillion VND (298.55million USD) last year, a 36% increase from the previous year, the insurancecompany said in a press release.
It reported revenues of 33.09 trillion VND (1.4 billion USD) lastyear. Its total assets reached nearly 106.38 trillion VND (4.5 billion USD), anincrease of 14%.
It also achieved a turnaround to make a profit in 2022 aftersuffering losses in the previous year.
It has a solid financial foundation with a charter capital of 22.22trillion VND (947.19 million USD) and solvency margin far above the minimumrequirement.
Manulife CEO Sang Lee attributed the good results to the trust ofcustomers, prudent financial management and stable interest rates, which had apositive impact on technical reserves and profits.
