On the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, the VN-Index declined 0.22 percent to end at 561.25 points.

The market was mixed with 80 gainers, 110 decliners and 117 stocks remained flat.

Marketliquidity continued to fall. The trading volume fell 16.7 per cent to76.3 million shares worth 1.33 trillion VND (61.6 million USD), whichwas a decrease of 12.5 percent.

The VN30 Index, tracking the 30largest codes by market value and liquidity, also dropped by 0.22percent to end at 592.71 points.

The basket had a balanced performance with 10 advancers, 11 losers and 9 flat.

Onthe Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index decreased by 0.3 percent tofinish at 82.65 points. The northern market was also mixed with 83gainers, 112 losers and 172 flat stocks.

Market liquidityimproved compared to the previous session with more than 42.7 millionshares being traded worth 532.7 billion VND (24.6 million USD), anincrease of 16.4 percent.

The HNX30 Index lost 0.21 percent tostand at 157.2 points. In this basket, nine stocks advanced, 13 declinedand eight stayed unchanged.

Foreign investors totaled a netbuying value of 188.38 billion VND (8.72 million USD) on both markets,an increase of 15 percent compared to the previous session.-VNA
