Meeting talks easing difficulties for PetroVietnam, Vietnam Airlines

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on May 21 chaired a meeting withpermanent Government members to discuss measures to tackle difficulties facedby the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) and the national flag carrierVietnam Airlines.
Speaking at the event, PM Phuc said he recently attended online and offlinemeetings with business community and the Government has issued a resolution to removeobstacles for them.
He hailed PetroVietnam and Vietnam Airlines for proactively designing plans to overcomechallenges and maintain operations.
TheGovernment leader shared the difficulties faced by the two corporations andstressed that there are many opportunities ahead.
He suggested they continue with internal restructuring, including market andlabour restructuring, saving costs, further improving operation efficiency, andmaintaining key workforce.
Ministries and agencies were also asked to join hands to remove difficulties forPetroVietnam and Vietnam Airlines.
