The Prime Minister has requested that after the child vaccination policy is approved by competent authorities, the Ministry of Health must conduct necessary procedures to buy vaccines for children aged 5-11.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister has requested that after the child vaccination policy is approved by competent authorities, the Ministry ofHealth must conduct necessary procedures to buy vaccines for children aged5-11.

It was part of the PM’s directions about COVID-19 vaccinationunder Document No.9629/VPCP-KGVX recently issued by the Government Office.

The Government leader also asked the Minister of Health toensure sufficient vaccines for people of all ages and take directresponsibility to the Party, State and people for the task.

The Health Minister must convene meetings with experts and workwith medical and army staff to drastically step up vaccination, ensuring that it is done ina safe, scientific and effective manner. The minister was also assigned toreport vaccination progress in January 2022, and guarantee enough vaccines forchildren aged above 12 to complete the injection of booster doses for this group in the firstquarter.
