MoIT reviews dumping measures on Chinese colour-coated steel

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) issued a decision to review the application of anti-dumping measures on some colour-coated steel products originating from China for the first time.

Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) issued a decision toreview the application of anti-dumping measures on some colour-coated steelproducts originating from China for the first time.

Previously,the ministry issued Decision No 3198/QD-BCT of the Minister of Industry andTrade on the imposition of anti-dumping duty on colour-coated steel productsoriginating from China and the Republic of Korea on October 24 last year.

Theministry received the first review of the case on August 20 thisyear. On the basis of the content of the application for review received, itissued Decision No 3372/QD-BCT last week on the first review of the applicationof anti-dumping measures on colour-coated steel products originating fromChina.

Accordingly,the companies reviewed for anti-dumping tax rates in the case include ShandongYehui Coated Steel Co., Ltd and Shandong Boxing Yin Xiang International TradeCo., Ltd; Yieh Phui Technomaterial Co., Ltd; and Zhejiang Huada New MaterialCo., Ltd.

To ensurethe benefits of organisations and individuals, the Ministry of Industry andTrade recommended organisations and individuals register as a related party inthe review case to access public information, send comments, information andevidence related to the reviewed content and co-operate with investigationagencies in the process of investigation and review.

In addition,organisations and individuals in the process of signing contracts for import,distribution, trading and use of goods subject to anti-dumping tax should payattention to the fact that anti-dumping tax could be replaced following theresults of the review, it said./.
