New experiencing route in Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark launched
A new experiencing route in the UNESCO-recognised Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang is introduced to visitors this month.

Cao Bang (VNA) – A new experiencing route in the UNESCO-recognised Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopaꦓrkin the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang is introduced tovisitors thiꦦs month.
The route, the fourth of its kind, runs from Cao Bang city via Thach An districtto Quang Hoa district where archaeologists have found traces of river, lake andswamp environment with diverse flora and fauna that dated back 28-38 million years ago.
Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports andTourism Truong The Vinh said the new route integrates heritage sites,connecting Cao Bang city to other tourism routes both in and outside the province.
The route helps to effectively exploit nationalhighway No. 4A, which links Cao Bang with Quang Ninh province and🐭 HaiPhong city, as well as the special national monument of the 1950🔯 border victory.
The latest route is associated with the legend of theNo. 4 road, and the heroism of the Vietnamese army and people in the victory of border campaign in 1950. It also includes a cluster of relics of the bordervictory - an evidence for the genius leaderships of President Ho Chi Minh andGeneral Vo Nguyen Giap in the resistance war against the French colonialism.
The geopark offers insights into the history of the planetacross more than 500 million years through protected sites. Fossils, marinesediment, volcanic and plutonic rocks and minerals are witness to theremarkable evolution and changes of the planet, and they constitute anexceptional geological heritage.
It is also a land of tangible and intangible cultural heritage sites andspecial historical monuments. The area is also well-known for its highbiological div♏ersity with abundant endemic plant and♛ animal species andecosystems./.
Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark in the northern border province of Cao Bang was recognised as a global geopark by the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council in Paris on April 12.
A ceremony will be held on November 24 in Cao Bang city to receive a certificate from UNESCO recognising Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark the northern border province of Cao Bang as a global geopark by the UNESCO.
