Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan relieved from chairmanship of NA, National Election Council
The National Assembly (NA) approved a resolution on the relief of Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan from the chairmanship of the 14th NA and the National Election Council on March 30.

Hanoi (VNA) – TheNational Assembly (NA) approved a resolution on the relief of Nguyen Thi KimNgan from the chairmanship of the 14th NA and the National ElectionCouncil on March 30.
This resolution won theapproval of 429 or 89.38 percent of the 449 deputies present at the afternoonsitting.
It will take effect when thenew leadership for the NA and the National Election Council is elected.
Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, born onApril 12, 1954, is the first woman to serve as Chair of the NA and the NationalElection Council in Vietnam.
She was elected chairwoman ofthe NA at the 11th session of the 13th NA.
On March 31, the NA StandingCommittee is set to report on outcomes of the group discussion about thecandidacy for the chairmanship of the NA and the National Election Council./.

Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang cleared up deputies' concern regarding how to spur socio-economic growth, renew traditional growth motives and establish new momentum for development.
Vietnam proposed several priorities: narrowing the digital divide, strengthening women’s leadership in the digital economy and AI governance, and mobilising sustainable financing for gender equality initiatives in line with each country’s national priorities and context.
