Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam reported no new COVID-19 casesover the last 12 hours, with total cases still standing at 327, including 187imported ones, by 6pm on May 28.
The country has gone 42 consecutive days withoutcommunity transmission, according to the National Steering Committee forCOVID-19 Prevention and Control.
As many as 278 out of 327 patients or 85 percent of the total have recovered,and there has been no death so far.
The 49 remainders are being treated at nine national andprovincial medial facilities, with eight testing negative once for SARS-CoV-2,the novel coronavirus that causes the acute respiratory disease, and 17negative at least twice.
A total of 8,869 people who had close contactwith COVID-19 patients or returned from pandemic-hit areas are underhealth monitoring, of whom 49 were quarantined at hospitals, 7,008 at otherconcentrated facilities and 1,812 at home and place of residence./.
