No new COVID-19 infections recorded on September 15

No new COVID-19 cases were detected over the past 12 hours, leaving the tally unchanged at 1,063 as of 6pm on September 15, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Hanoi (VNA) – No new COVID-19 cases were detected overthe past 12 hours, leaving the tally unchanged at 1,063 as of6pm on September 15, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19Prevention and Control.  

Of the total, 691 were locally-transmitted cases, including 551 recordedsince July 25.

Five patients were given the all clear on September 15, raising thenumber of fully recovered patients to 931, while 35 died from complicationsrelated to the disease.

Among those stillunder treatment, 16 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 12 others twice and 18 three times. Three patients are in critical conditions.

There are 32,578people having close contact with confirmed cases or coming from pandemic-hitregions under quarantine at present.

 The Health Ministry has called on residents towear masks in public places, regularly wash hands with soap, avoid crowdgatherings, and install Bluezone, an app helpingtrack infections of COVID-19./.

♓ Vietnam, France collaborate in vaccine production technology transfer

Under the agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually implement technology transfers to enable domestic production of several key Sanofi vaccines that are widely used in Vietnam. In addition, Sanofi will support VNVC in training human resources and quality management in vaccine research and manufacturing.
