Hanoi (VNA)ꦅ – Over 900 livestreamed sessions, 1.8 billion views on TikTok shops using the hashtags #OnlineFriday and #TuHaoHangViet, nearly 4,750 response videos, and over 30 departments of industry and trade are just a few of the remarkable statistics showcasing the success of Vietnam's National E-commerce Week and Online Friday 2024 from November 25 to December 1.

The Online Friday 2024, held under the theme "Proud of Vietnamese goods standing side by side with global brands" by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Vietnam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency, drew logistics companies, digital infrastructure solution providers, influential content creators and e-commerce platforms. One of the standout moments came from a livestream session on Quang Linh Vlog on the evening of November 28, which garnered more than 24 million views and generated an impressive 31,179 orders through the TikTok Shop platform, showcasing the immense potential of digital commerce in Vietnam.
Across the country, various cities and provinces hosted events highlighting different aspects of digital transformation. In Hai Phong, the Online Friday 2024 at Aeon Mall Le Chan on November 28 focused on digital transformation and cashless payment.
Meanwhile in Ho Chi Minh City, a livestream festival from November 29 - December 1 created an entertainment space that connected culture with the farmer community. A highlight of the week was the Mega Live Festival in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on November 30. An unprecedented livestream event, co-organised by FoodMap, TikTok Shop, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Young Entrepreneurs’ Association, showcased over 50 Vietnamese brands and more than 100 quality agricultural products and specialties from across the nation's 63 localities. With over 2.2 million views, it not only honoured national cultural values but also One Commune, One Product (OCOP) items. In Hanoi, a voucher festival and a digital product exhibition drew large crowds, while localities such as Thai Nguyen, An Giang, Da Nang, and Binh Duong held their own events to empower local businesses through livestreams and online platforms./.
