The restructuring of the political system's organisational apparatus and the organisation of the two-tier local administration structure are a "revolution," requiring strong determination, resolute action, and unity in direction and implementation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said on June 14.
On May 25, 2025, the Politburo issued Conclusion No. 157-KL/TW on implementing Party resolutions regarding the restructuring of the organisational apparatus and administrative units. The decision paves the way for the streamlining of the political system's organisational apparatus, with revisions focusing on the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organisations, the delimitation of administrative units, and the organisation of local governments.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highlighted the need to promote growth by revitalising traditional growth drivers, and fostering new ones; and strengthen inspections and address difficulties and obstacles to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, especially for key national projects.
The inspection will scrutinise the implementation of the 12th Party Central Committee’s Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on continued reform and re-organisation of the political system’s organisational apparatus for greater efficiency, and the Party Central Committee’s conclusion on the review of the Resolution tied to the establishment and operation of new Party organisations.
