Outstanding credit of the banking system is forecast to increase 4.4% in the first quarter and 14.2% in 2024, up 0.4 percentage point from the previous prediction of 13.8%.
By the end of August, the total outstanding credit of the banking system in the capital city of Hanoi had reached 2.38 quadrillion VND (104 billion USD), an increase of 1 percent over the previous month and 8.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
Overseas remittances to Ho Chi Minh City through official channels in the first eight months of 2017 were estimated at 3 billion USD, up 5 percent year-on-year, sourced mostly from the US and Europe.
