Customs and police officers in Ho Chi Minh City on November 24 found more than 20kg of drugs of various kinds when checking nine express delivery parcels.

More than 700 grammes of heroin were discovered in cartonboxes registered as containing clothes for shipping to Australia from a person in the city.
The heroin was pressed thinly and placed inside the cartonboxes. The address of the sender was verified as a fake one.
Concerning imported goods packages, methamphetamine and marijuanawere found hidden carefully inside a foot massage machine and gift boxescontaining personal stuff.
Police of Dien Bien district of the northwestern province of the same name on July 11 said they, together with relevant agencies, had seized a large haul of drugs from a transnational trafficking ring.
The Ho Chi Minh City Police said on September 9 that they busted a ring smuggling a combined 47 kilogrammes of drug from Cambodia to the Vietnamese southern hub.
The General Department of Vietnam Customs said on September 14 that it had coordinated with competent forces to arrest 11 suspects and seize 237 kg of different narcotics.
