Party’s TV channel to officially broadcast from September

Nhan Dan (People) television channel, run by the Party newspaper Nhan Dan, will be officially operational on September 1 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the daily and Director of the channel Dinh Nhu Hoan said on August 26 that the opening ceremony will be held at the Hanoi Opera House and broadcast live on Nhan Dan and other channels in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and northern Thai Nguyen province.
On the National Day (September 2), Nhan Dan channel will broadcast a special programme reflecting political, economic, cultural and social aspects from all corners of the country on the big day. The programme will begin at 6 a.m and last until 10 p.m, Hoan said.
He added that the channel will provide four news bulletins a day besides other broadcasts on commentaries, ethnic minority groups, culture, business and the Party. The establishment of the channel, piloted since June 21, marks a new step for Nhan Dan newspaper, he noted, stressing it is a channel of the Party, State and people from all social strata.-VNA
